Pixie Dust Technologies, Inc., a portfolio company of Abies Ventures, and Shionogi & Co., Ltd, announced a collaboration with partner companies to prevent dementia and improve cognitive function.

On Tuesday, April 18, PxDT and Shionogi announced a collaboration with partner companies regarding “Gamma Wave Sound for Cognitive Function Care that Integrates into Daily Life,” which aims to realize a society in which dementia can be prevented and cognitive function can be improved in daily life.

“Gamma Wave Sound” is a sound that has the potential to care for cognitive functions while living, using a special technology that can modulate sounds such as TV and radio to a 40 Hz cycle in real time (“Gamma Wave Modulation Technology”).
Through this collaboration, PxDT and Shionogi, which are conducting research and technological development of Gamma Wave Modulation Technology, will play a central role together with the four participating partner companies, NTT DOCOMO, INC., Gakken Cocofump Company, Limited, Sompo Himawari Life Insurance Inc. and Mitsui Fudosan Co., Ltd., will promote initiatives to prevent dementia and improve cognitive functions using “Gamma Wave Sound” within the business domains of each company.
