CUEBUS, a portfolio company of Abies Ventures, has decided to participate in a demonstration experiment aimed at implementing an automated logistics roadway, conducted as part of the Narita Airport “Airport City” initiative promoted by Chiba Prefecture and Narita International Airport Corporation. The company’s participation was formally announced at the kickoff ceremony.

In this demonstration experiment, CUEBUS will leverage its automated transport system technology on the roadways within Narita Airport to verify the feasibility of implementing next-generation logistics infrastructure that contributes to greater efficiency and labor savings in airport logistics. Specifically, the company plans to work on verifying automation technologies and identifying challenges related to stable operation and deployment in outdoor environments.

Through its independently developed linear motor-based robotic warehouse system, “CUEBUS,” the company has contributed to improving productivity and optimizing space utilization in logistics operations. Participation in this demonstration experiment represents a significant step in advancing the implementation of automation in a new field—airport logistics.
