RUTILEA, a portfolio company of Abies Ventures, has been featured in Nikkei for its collaboration with Daiwa House Industry on the opening of a data center showroom (demonstration facility) in Okuma Town, Fukushima Prefecture.
The facility is a demonstration site utilizing a small, on-site assembled data center and is scheduled to open to domestic and international companies and research institutions in early May 2026. Visitors will be able to enter the data center and view actual equipment, including GPU servers, firsthand.
In this project, RUTILEA participates as a core partner responsible for AI development and research, working alongside Ties AI, which operates the data center. The facility is designed for flexible operation with potential collaboration with other companies, aiming to form a new hub for AI and digital-related industries.
Okuma Town is an area affected by the Great East Japan Earthquake and the nuclear power plant accident. This initiative contributes to regional revitalization and the development of a new industrial base centered on data centers and the AI industry. RUTILEA already operates multiple data centers in the town, and this showroom represents a further expansion of its ongoing efforts.
