Pixie Dust Technologies, Inc. (“PxDT”), a portfolio company of Abies Ventures, was listed on the NASDAQ market in the United States on August 1, 2023 (U.S. time). PxDT is the first company in which we invested immediately after the establishment of our fund, and the first company in which we invested to be listed on the NASDAQ.

PxDT was established in May 2017, led by Dr. Yoichi Ochiai, Associate Professor at University of Tsukuba, and is developing products focusing on two main areas of wave control technology: “Personal Care & Diversity” and “Workspace & Digital Transformation”. In a short period of time, the company developed and launched unique products such as “SonoRepro” and “Iwasemi,” which are new options to meet unmet needs around the world, and achieved a listing in the US market in about 5 years. I believe this is due to the efforts of PxDT’s employees and partners under the strong leadership of Mr. Ochiai and other management members.
