Telexistence, a portfolio company of Abies Ventures, was featured in Nikkei Crosstech as a company promoting automation of the retail industry with remote-controlled robots.
Telexistence has developed the “TX SCARA,” a remote-operated robot designed to automate the restocking of beverage shelves, primarily in convenience stores. The robot is currently undergoing pilot operation at FamilyMart stores. In addition to AI-powered product recognition and motion control, it features a semi-autonomous system that enables remote operators to assist as needed.
Building on this success, the company has expanded into the logistics sector. In collaboration with SENKO, Telexistence deployed a portable depalletizer at AEON Fukuoka XD. The robot is designed to be transportable via automated forklifts, offering a flexible solution that adapts to the dynamic needs of logistics operations.
